November 11 Update

Brandon transitioned from his home here to his eternal home early this morning. The last two days were a struggle for him, but his passing was peaceful. He was with his family and surrounded by love. He is free of pain, nausea and fatigue now, and cancer has no hold over him.

We are working on arrangements for his celebration of life and hope to finalize the plan tomorrow. We will post here as soon as we have the details.

Our love for Brandon will never fade, and we will miss him every day. We are so appreciative of the support of family and friends during this difficult time.

  2. I pray for strength and comfort for all of you as you move forward without him, as daunting as that seems. I’m so sorry for all you have been through and have yet to conquer. I know you all have many wonderful memories that I hope you can call on to help guide you through the hard times. He lives on in each of you.

  3. Whetsel family, I learned earlier today that Brandon had passed away. I pray that it was peaceful for him and that his passing offers some comfort to his family that his suffering is over. I cannot imagine your loss of a son, husband and farher. I knew Brandon as a member of Fit for Life and also as a co worker there for a short time. He was very polite, friendly and had a twinkle in his eye. Pretty sure he had a mischievous side! My point being is that he was a class act young man. He showed all of his friends and fb followers how to do this most horrible journey with grace and dignity. I think we all learned so much from Brandon. Love and comfort to your family and Godspeed to you Brandon.

  4. Kristin, Mr and Mrs Whetsel I am so very sorry for your loss. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace. Brandon and I started at Teva together in the same orientation over 8 years ago. He had a spark and light about him that drew me and many of us to him. He loved his job so very very much. We all loved him and his energy. He will be so missed by so many of us who knew him. I’ve been praying for him and all of you through all of this. I will miss his smile and laugh so much. My love and condolences to you all. May he rest in sweet eternal peace. God bless you all.

  7. To all his family, I’m truly sorry for your loss. Brandon was a great guy and it’s never easy to have to say goodbye to a young man, friend, son, husband, daddy, or cousin.
Our hearts go out to you during this time. May you find peace knowing he is healed and you guys will see each other one day again. Brandon will never ever be forgotten.
    Hugs.

  8. To the Whetsel Family:

I’m extremely sad to hear of Brandon’s passing but he is definitely free now and in a better place. You guys in some ways have been blessed to spend every moment like it was your last and I hope you all continue on. I’ve heard so many wonderful things about the family and close friends and how you chosen to handle this challenge. I will continue to lift this family in prayer. I hope you can find comfort in the word, 2Cor 5:8, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
    God Bless~

  9. Our family is so proud to call great nephew Brandon one of our own. He gave it the good fight and is free of all of the pain and restlessness. Saying goodbye is the hardest part, but remembering his smile is cherished. We are sending Kristen and the girls, Tonya and Jim our caring sympathy and our forever love. ❤️ ♥️ ?

    • I add my love and prayers to Mom’s post above. May his journey Home be cloaked in glory and victory over cancer, as the message above is right, and may we focus always on the light he brought the world. Brandon is now free and we will always love him.

  10. Our loss is Heaven’s gain. We will see him again and when we do I will finally get to know him better. What a joyous reunion we will all have.

  11. We are saddened to hear this. From the time we moved next door til graduation my backyard was a ball field. All 3 of my sons and Brandon would get up and out the back door they went. Brandon will be missed by many and now he can fly high in the heavens. Pain free and no more suffering of this terrible disease.

  12. Brandon – I am comforted that you are no longer suffering and hope your beautiful family can find the strength to carry on without your physical spirit. I’m so glad I knew you and know I’ll see you again someday. Tell my Mother hello for me will you?
